Hidden feature: The advanced search filter

This article is the first in a serie of posts about SRXP's what we call 'hidden features'. SRXP is packed with functionalities to make expense reporting more efficient and insightful. However, you might not have noticed all of these features, or you might not be aware how to use them. With these articles we want to help you to make the best possible use of SRXP. We start off with the search filter.

The search filter is a very helpful feature for admins, especially for admins of large organisations. If used well, it prevents you from scrolling through large amounts of data. The search filter can be found on the All reports page and on the Users page.

On the right top of your 'Users' screen, you see a field where you can enter your search term, for example when you're looking for a particular employee and you know that person's name. Many admins regularly use this functionality. However, if you click on the small arrow inside the text field, the advanced search filter collapses.

Now you can use for example filter on and select all expense reporters from a particular establishment. You can also select all users that haven't activated their account yet and send them a quick reminder.

On the reports page, you find the same search text field in the top right corner. Here you can also collapse a filter menu, of course with different filters compared to the users filter menu.

If there is a filter that you will need again in the future, you can save it. First set the filter as you want it to be and click the search button. When the results of the filter are displayed, open the filter menu again. You can now save the settings as a filter.

 

Filter reports in the Export tab

If you go to the export tab, you find the same search filter as on the 'All reports' page. Now you can use a saved report filter or create a custom one, and export all results at once.

This can be used for example to filter expense reports of board members to publish somewhere. You can also use it to filter credit card statements and send these to your finance software, while you want the other expense reports to be sent to your payroll software.
